Getting approved
How do I get a trade credit line with Jinport?
Open an account and tell us about your business, the trade credit you are after, and your preferred terms. We review your business and credit standing, then come back with an approved credit term and amount. Once approved, you can order across every verified supplier on Jinport.
How long does approval take?
For approvals up to USD 2 million on CIF 60 day terms, we aim to come back within five working days. For approvals above USD 2 million, evaluation takes up to ten working days. We will let you know if we need anything else from you.
What do I need to provide?
Your business registration, a short description of your business and the products you buy, the trade credit amount and terms you need, and details of how you currently import. For pricing and supply, it helps to share your previous supplier details and future shipment plans.
Payments
How does the 20% deposit work?
Once your trade credit is approved, a 20% deposit confirms each order. The factory is paid in full upfront, so production starts straight away, and you settle the remaining 80% balance later on the supply terms we provide.
When is the 80% balance due?
It depends on the shipping basis of your order. On CIF terms the balance is generally due within two months, and on FOB terms within three months. Your exact due date is shown on each order and on your Balances and payments page.
What happens when I settle a balance?
Settling the balance closes out that order and frees the amount back up on your trade credit line, so you can use it again for new orders.
Trade credit
Is this a loan or consumer credit?
No. Jinport is a wholesale marketplace, not a lender. The trade credit line and the deposit and balance arrangement are supply terms Jinport provides through its exclusive supply chain partnership. Jinport does not lend money or provide consumer credit.
Do I need to provide security or a guarantee?
No. There is no property security and no personal guarantee required. Your approved trade credit line is based on your business and trading profile.
Can I increase my limit?
Yes. If your order volumes are growing, you can request a review of your limit from the Trade credit line page. Reviews follow the same evaluation as your original approval.
Orders
Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order, so you can start small to build confidence and scale your volume over time.
How do I track an order?
Every order appears on your Orders page with its current status, from deposit paid through production, shipping and settlement. Open any order to see the full payment split and timeline.
Who supplies the goods?
Goods are supplied by verified Chinese suppliers, with terms provided by Jinport through its exclusive partnership with Jiashan Luoxing Wenxin Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.
